A mirror that tells the guest what to do

A photo mirror is not a photo booth turned on its side. The guest stands in front of a large screen and sees themselves full length, while animations lead them through the session — appearing on screen, showing the pose, counting down. The defaults are prepared for a 65-inch screen hung 35 cm above the floor.

What it does

Animations instead of a previewAn animated sequence with sound runs the session — it shows when to step up, when to pose and when the shot is coming.
A layout built for a portrait screenButton placement, on-screen keyboard height and the dead zone along the bottom edge are already set — you are not moving everything from scratch.
The whole figureA large portrait screen shows the guest head to toe, so the photos come out unlike anything from a cabin — with the outfit, the shoes and the whole pose.
Printing on the spotThe same dye-sublimation printer as in the booth, up to three copies per session.
The photo on a phone — an add-onSharing by QR code and e-mail is not part of the mirror set, but you only need to tick it in the configurator alongside the other functions.
Confirmation before printingThe guest sees the finished photo and decides whether to print it. Less wasted paper.

How it differs from the other versions

The photo mirror is a separate device in the configurator, not a variant of the booth — it has its own screen layout and animation mode switched on. If you have a classic cabin, take Fotillo PhotoBooth. If the mirror should charge for photos, tell us — payments are switched off by default in this version.

Photos and the internet

In the default set the mirror needs no internet at all — the photo is written to disk and goes straight to the printer. If you add sharing, the file travels to the Cloud in the background and the guest gets the code immediately, no matter how fast the venue’s connection is.

3Choose a theme: currently the Halloween theme; more are being added.
4Tick the functions: Camera / EOS camera, Printer (Citizen / DNP), Animations / Adverts.
5Enter your e-mail address and download the package. The program starts in DEMO mode — it runs with no time limit, and prints carry a trial-version mark.

How to unlock the full version

The mirror prints up to three copies per session, so pick the pool of prints with some room to spare. You buy the code in the Tokens section; it is tied to one computer, and the configurator shows the price as you tick the functions.

Templates and appearance

Mirror templates are portrait — a collage from a cabin turned on its side will not work. You will find more designs in the Templates section, and you can build your own in the template editor — a browser tool where you lay out the frames, add a background and captions, then upload the finished file to the device. No graphics software needed.

Where to look next

Supported devices

CameraCanon EOS DSLR and mirrorless bodies supported through the Canon EDSDK. A USB camera works too — image quality then depends on the camera.
PrinterDye-sublimation Citizen CY and CY-02, DNP DS-RX1 and DS-RX1 HS — with these the program reads the paper level and warns you before it runs out. It will also print on any printer set as the Windows default, but without media status.
ScreenA touch monitor in portrait orientation — the defaults are prepared for a 65-inch screen hung 35 cm above the floor. Keyboard height and the dead zone are adjusted in the service menu.
